What makes VAPS different from your funeral cover?
VAPS includes everything in CoverRoot Funeral Cover plus value-added support benefits such as funeral arrangement support, repatriation within South Africa and grief support. It also allows a larger number of insured members.
Is the premium much higher?
The VAPS product carries a slightly higher monthly fee for the added benefits. Your cover premium is calculated the same way: total cover multiplied by the rate for the oldest member's age band.
Can I move my existing family members to VAPS?
In a live policy, CoverRoot would confirm whether a switch is possible and whether a new waiting period applies. For this prototype, start a new VAPS application.
Are the value-added benefits guaranteed?
The benefits shown here are illustrative for the prototype. The final VAPS benefit schedule will be set out in CoverRoot's approved product documentation.
